Hydraulic release bearings, also known as hydraulic throwout bearings and clutch forks are two key components in an auto clutch system, but they have different functions and roles.

Hydraulic throwout bearing is a device that utilizes hydraulic power to engage and disengage the clutch. Its main function is to operate the clutch mechanism more efficiently by replacing the traditional mechanical linkage with a hydraulic system. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal, hydraulic pressure is generated in the clutch master cylinder, which transmits the pressure to the clutch sub-pump, which in turn activates the clutch slave cylinder and moves the release bearing toward the diaphragm spring, thus realizing clutch disengagement. This design not only reduces the number of transmission links and lowers wear points, but also improves the efficiency and stability of the system.

Hydraulic throwout bearing:

1. Function: The hydraulic throwout bearing is mainly used to control the engagement and disengagement of the clutch through the hydraulic system. It utilizes the pressure of hydraulic oil to push the release mechanism, thus realizing the smooth engagement and disengagement of the clutch.

2. Structure: The hydraulic throwout bearing usually consists of an outer ring, an inner ring and a rolling body, which is installed between the clutch pressure plate and the flywheel. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal, the hydraulic system pushes the piston, so that the hydraulic oil enters the distributor pump, and then pushes the push rod, so that the release fork rotates and drives the release bearing to slide, thus realizing the separation of the clutch.

3. Advantages of Hydraulic throwout bearing: hydraulic throwout bearing has the advantages of strong torque transmitting ability, small size, no shock, smooth starting and direction change. In addition, due to its smooth operation and high reliability and long life, it gradually replaces the traditional mechanical throwout bearing.

Clutch fork (fork):

The clutch fork is an important part of the clutch operating mechanism, mainly used to control the clutch engagement and disengagement. It is connected to the clutch fork and operates the clutch via a hydraulic system or cable. The design of the clutch fork requires it to be able to move flexibly without any sharp noise or jamming phenomenon, so as to ensure that the clutch engages smoothly and disengages softly, thus prolonging the service life of the whole transmission system.

1. Function: The main function of the clutch fork is to connect the gearshift handle and help the clutch shift through its unique design. It is connected to the clutch pedal in the cab through mechanical device or hydraulic mechanism. When the clutch pedal is pressed down, the clutch fork will push the release bearing to press the clutch pressure plate in order to achieve the purpose of separating the engine and gearbox.

2. Structure: The clutch fork usually consists of two symmetrically set fork arms, each of which is equipped with rolling bearings, which can reduce friction and prolong service life. The fork arms are pivoted by means of articulated bearings, enabling the whole system to be operated flexibly.

3. Advantages: The design of the clutch fork enables it to effectively control the engagement and disengagement of the clutch while reducing wear and noise. It is also capable of adapting to the needs of different types of gearboxes and transmission systems.

To summarize, the hydraulic throwout bearing is mainly responsible for the engagement and disengagement of the clutch through the hydraulic system, while the clutch fork pushes the release bearing mechanically or hydraulically to achieve the actual disengagement action of the clutch. Both work together to ensure the efficient operation of the clutch system and the smooth shifting of the vehicle.
