The following symptoms are all common manifestations of clutch failure. In actual use, if the clutch is found to have one or more of the following symptoms, it should be promptly inspected and repaired in order to avoid further deterioration of the malfunction causing greater damage to the vehicle.

The eight symptoms of clutch failure mainly include the following points:

1. Clutch slipping:

Phenomenon: when the car is starting, the clutch pedal is lifted very high to barely start; when the engine accelerates during driving, the speed of the car can not be increased. These are the typical phenomenon of clutch slippage. When slipping is serious, there will even be a burnt flavor or smoke and so on.

Reason: It may be caused by serious wear of the clutch plate, insufficient spring force or broken clutch pressure plate spring, uneven wear of the clutch pressure plate, and so on.

2. Incomplete clutch disengagement:

Phenomenon: When the car starts, press the clutch pedal to the end, still feel difficult or unable to gear up, and the gear gears make a collision sound. This indicates that the power between the clutch active and slave disk is not completely cut off.

Reason: may be due to the clutch pedal free travel is too large, the clutch pressure plate spring force is too small or failure, clutch slave disk deformation and other reasons.

3. Clutch chattering:

Phenomenon: when the car starts, slowly lift the clutch pedal, lightly accelerate the gas pedal, the clutch in the engagement of vibration, the car is accompanied by a slight phenomenon of rushing, when the body of the seriousness of the occurrence of obvious shaking.

Reason: It may be caused by loose or broken rivets of the clutch disc, deformation of the clutch pressure plate and other reasons.

4. Abnormal clutch noise:

Phenomenon: clutch rattling occurs in the process of clutch engagement or disengagement and speed changes, manifested as a continuous "chug, chug, chug" sound or other strange sounds.

Cause: It may be caused by the lack of oil in the release bearing, bearing damage, breakage of the release lever or release bearing return spring.

5. Clutch free travel is too large:

Phenomenon: Excessive free travel of the clutch pedal may cause incomplete clutch disengagement and poor gearing.

Cause: This is usually caused by improper adjustment of the clutch pedal or worn clutch cable.

6. Damaged clutch pressure plate:

Phenomenon: Damage to the pressure plate will lead to uneven pressure on the clutch plate, which in turn will cause the clutch to slip or not be completely disengaged.

Reason: It may be caused by the material problem of pressure plate, improper use or long-term wear and tear.

7. Clutch disc wear:

Phenomenon: Wear of the driven disc will cause the clutch disc to become thin, which in turn will affect the normal operation of the clutch.

Cause: Long-term use, material problems or poor driving habits may lead to wear of the slave disk.

8. Leakage from the clutch hydraulic system:

Phenomenon: Leakage from the hydraulic system will cause the clutch to lose hydraulic assistance, resulting in a heavy clutch pedal or failure to work properly.

Cause: It may be caused by aging hydraulic lines, damaged seals or insufficient system pressure.

These symptoms can be caused by a variety of reasons, including worn clutch plates, clutch spring failure, excessive or short clutch free travel, and stuck hydraulic disengagement devices. If any of these symptoms occur, prompt inspection and repair is recommended to avoid more serious damage.
