However, when the clutch is disengaged, it ensures that the clutch pressure plate can be quickly and smoothly separated from the flywheel, thus interrupting the power connection between the engine and the transmission. This enables the driver to shift or stop smoothly.

3. Cushioning and vibration damping: The clutch release bearing also has a certain cushioning and vibration damping effect. During clutch operation, a certain amount of shock and vibration is generated due to the difference in rotational speeds between the engine and transmission as well as the vibration of the vehicle in motion.
