Separation bearings are available in a wide variety of types, which can be classified according to different classification criteria. The following are some of the main types of separation bearings and their characteristics:

I. Classification according to the type of rolling body

1. Ball bearings

Deep groove ball bearings: each collar has a cross-section of about one-third of the circumference of the ball of the continuous groove type raceway radial ball bearings, wide range of uses, can withstand radial loads and bi-directional axial loads, suitable for high-speed rotation and the requirements of low noise, low vibration occasions.

Self-aligning ball bearings: with automatic adjustment function, in the shaft, shell deflection, can automatically adjust the load and two directions of axial load, suitable for heavy load, shock load situation.

2.Roller bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings: rollers are usually guided by a bearing collar of the two retaining edge, keep frame roller and guide the collar to form a combination of parts, can be separated from another bearing collar, installation, dismantling is more convenient. Usually only used to bear radial load, only inside and outside the circle with the edge of the single row bearings can withstand a small fixed axial load or larger intermittent axial load.

Tapered roller bearings: suitable for bearing load and angle offset occasions, such as bulldozers drive system and automobile rear axle.

Thrust roller bearings: widely used in heavy load or impact load bearing, such as wind turbine and vehicle front wheel load.

Second, according to whether the parts can be separated classification

Separable bearings: such as cylindrical roller bearings, its structure allows the inner and outer ring and keep frame and other components separate, easy to install and dismantle.

Non-separable bearings: the structural design of some bearings makes their parts non-separable in normal use, such as some integral ball bearings.

Third, separation bearing other classification

Thrust needle roller bearings: Separate bearings by the raceway ring and needle roller and cage components, can be processed with the stamping of the thin raceway ring or cut processing of the thick type of raceway ring any combination, occupies a small space, is conducive to the compact design of machinery.

 Hydraulic Release Bearing

The release bearing is an important part of the automotive clutch system, which is responsible for pushing the clutch pressure plate when the driver operates the clutch pedal to separate the clutch disc from the flywheel, thus cutting off the power transmission between the engine and the gearbox.

The clutch pressure disc is pushed through a hydraulic system instead of the traditional mechanical connection.

This bearing provides a smoother clutch operating experience and reduces driver labour.

In Summary

There are many types of release bearings, each with its own unique characteristics and applicable scenarios. When selecting a release bearing, you need to choose the appropriate bearing type and structure according to the specific operating conditions, including factors such as operating temperature, rotational speed, load and lubrication method. Meanwhile, separation bearings need to be maintained and replaced regularly to ensure their long-term stable operation.

Please note that the above information is for reference only. For specific selection and use of separation bearings, you should also refer to relevant technical manuals and expert advice.
